Overview
This project is intended to provide opportunities for medical residents to participate in rotations in rural areas. It will enable them to live comfortably for a period of time in a rural area where they can learn not only about rural medicine but also what a it is like to live in and be a part of a rural community. Rural health residents will be able to experience first hand what it is like to be in a rural environment. This exposure to a rural environment will hopefully give medical residents a better idea of the career opportunity in rural areas. Altogether, my project aims to have an impact in rural medicine as a whole by increasing the number of resident program graduates that choose to practice in rural areas.
